Eight steps, most of them a single tap. The third is done by a person on our side, so it is the one that is not instant.
Use a professional Instagram account
Instagram app
Instagram only lets approved tools reply to comments on Business and Creator accounts. If your account is already one of these, skip this step.
Switching is free, takes a minute, and does not change your posts or followers.
Settings and privacy → Account type and tools → Switch to professional account
Create your workspace
Console
Open the console, choose "Create a workspace", and enter your email, a password, a name for your workspace (usually your business name) and the Instagram account you want to automate. Then confirm your email from the message we send you.
We send your access invitation
Us
Instagram requires every account that uses HeyJaanu to be invited first. We send that invitation by hand, and the console shows when it has been sent.
Accept the invitation

Open the invitation in the Instagram app and accept it. It sits on its own tab, "Tester invites", which is the step most people miss.
Instagram does not tell us when you accept, so if the next step still fails afterwards, write to us.
Settings and privacy → Website permissions → Apps and websites → Tester invites
Connect Instagram
Console
On the console home page, choose Connect. Instagram asks you to sign in and allow access; choose Allow. You are brought back to the console, which confirms the connection.
Turn on an auto-reply
Console
Choose "Create one" and pick what a comment receives: a private message with your link, a short public reply under the comment, or both. You can answer every comment or only comments that contain certain words.
Go live
Console
Until you choose Go live at the top of the console home page, nothing is sent to real people. Go live when your first auto-reply reads the way you want it to.
Test it
Instagram app
Ask a friend to comment on the post from their own account. Comments from your own account are ignored on purpose, so testing from it will not send anything.
The message normally arrives within seconds. The Results page in the console shows what happened to every comment, including the reason when nothing was sent.
Open the console to begin, or request access first if you would like to talk it through.
If something does not work
Connect says Instagram did not allow the connection
Almost always, the invitation has not been accepted yet, or the account is not a professional account. Check Settings and privacy → Website permissions → Apps and websites → Tester invites, then try Connect again.
I cannot find the invitation
It appears only after we have sent it, and only under the "Tester invites" tab, not the "Active" tab. Make sure you are signed in to the same Instagram account you entered when you created your workspace.
Somebody commented and received nothing
Check three things on the console home page: the account is connected, an auto-reply is on, and the workspace is live. Instagram also allows only one private message per comment, and only within seven days of it, and we do not message the same person again too soon. Results names the reason for every comment.
I want to stop everything
Turn the auto-reply off in the console and nothing more is sent. To remove our access entirely, remove the app in Instagram under Settings and privacy → Website permissions → Apps and websites.
